1. Installation

pip install -e .          # from the VFlood-RRI/ repo root
pip install -e ".[geo]"   # adds rasterio, matplotlib, pillow, netCDF4, shapely, geopandas, pysheds —
                           # needed for GeoTIFF/PNG/KML/NetCDF export/import and DEM terrain derivation

Requires Python ≥3.11, NumPy, Numba (Numba isn't used yet — see §10 — but is already a listed dependency for when it is).
